I am nervous!

I was so nervous to stand in front of classmates to have a presentation! I told myself to be calm, calm, calm. But I found I was more nervous! I kept the professor’s sentences in my mind that in order to have a good presentation, we should have the communication with other’s eyes. So I tried to look at my classmates. I just gazed at the eyes of one classmate until she felt so nervous and has no choice to laugh to me. I wanted to be calmer, I was more nervous.
My indistinct speech made it impossible for others to understand me. I was crazy about my pronunciation. On the night I had a dream.
In the dream, I also had the same English presentation. After the presentation, my classmates came and talked to me.
The American classmate said that you have a wonderful Britain English pronunciation.
The Britain classmate said that your American English pronunciation is so nice.
And the Korean classmate asked me why you had the presentation in Chinese?
Maybe it is just a nice joke for you. But it is really a nightmare for me.

What’s about you? Are you nervous when you have the presentation? How do you do to decrease nervous? Do you have some good idea? Tell me!

  1. You did fine today. It's certainly easier to understand when you slow down a bit (you usually talk quite fast). And perhaps you shouldn't have stared at just ONE student in the audience. But it's better than looking down at your paper all the time like some students were doing. And yes, your "nightmare" makes for a very funny story.
